I received lots of KEWL things for my birthday. I’ve been wanting the “Seasons” angels from Willow Tree for a few years now and this year I got all 4 of them! They are SO CUTE! And, they’ll be great for the little shelf where we plan to decorate for all the seasons and holidays this year.

My parents are giving us meals from the meal prep place where I like to go occasionally to make some freezer meals. The best part is that my mom is going to go and make the meals for us. That’ll be GREAT since I’m so short on time these days. Tim’s parents gave me $$ and a really cute quilted centerpiece that lays on your table to put silverware in as well as some dishtowels which we needed.

Oh, and the kids/Tim also gave me a new George Foreman grill which has the removeable grills, but I took it back because it’s not as big as the one we have and we wouldn’t be able to even grill enough burgers for all of us on it (LOL). The girls gave me something I will REALLY look forward to using as soon as things slow down a bit and that is a gift certificate for FOUR massages!

Then. Tim gave me a PHONE BOOK! Can you believe he would give me a PHONE BOOK for my birthday? I’m always calling to have him look a phone # up for me whenever I’m driving and can’t look one up myself >VBG>! SO, he’s been threatening to give me a phone book for quite awhile. I was still, nonetheless, shocked that he would actually wrap one up and give it to me for my birthday. After I hit him with it (LOL), I realized the edge felt kind of funny so I opened it thinking that it was one of those deco art things that the kids make. Emily made one of these cute book decoration awhile ago so I was half expecting to open it and find some sort of deocrative pages inside. The phonebook opened up to the jewelry page in the advertisement section, but there was a flat screen TV ad taped over the page which made me laugh because NO ONE would by *me* a flat screen TV – I rarely even watch TV. Anyway. I could tell it was taped on, but I wasn’t picking up on what or why or anything so finally they told me to pull the ad off. When I did I could see that they had glued all of the pages together beneath that page and cut a little square hole in them making a little box like area where I found a NEW RING! As in a new wedding ring.

I really wasn’t expecting that at all. The girls went to help him pick out my new ring and it’s BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE it. I’ve even been wearing it (LOL). I didn’t wear my wedding ring very often because it hurt my finger – the edges pinching into my skin. My new ring has a wider band which is also more rounded on the edges so it doesn’t hurt my finger like my original wedding ring. A year ago we looked at wedding rings and thought about adding a band to each side of my original wedding ring. I liked the design and it wouldn’t have been that expensive to change it and add a bigger diamond. However, I didn’t want to change my ring. So, now I have two wedding rings. Tim explained why I needed a new ring (LOL):

Isn’t that sweet? I can definitely see my ring now even without my contacts in (LOL).
