This is the 18th year that my dad has played Santa Claus. The kids have all grown up knowing the story of St. Nicholas and they have always known that Grandpa is Santa Claus. Below Tim and Nathan are watching for him to come.
We have this down to quite a routine (tradition) these days. My mom and dad have fixed dinner for the worship team at church the last few years. As soon as the second to the last service is over they clean up the food and head home to get ready for Santa. As soon as Tim and I are done playing (although I didn’t have to play this year) we head home and call my parents to let them know we’re home. We start the pizzas while they head up to our house and they call when they’re about a 1/2 mile out so we can move everyone away from the windows (LOL).
Even though Nathan knows it’s Grandpa, it’s still exciting every year for him to anticipate his arrival each year. Notice the angle on the picture below. I am NOT that tall (LOL) so I think this must be one of the pics Skyler took.

Grandma had to help Santa pass out the presents.

Santa with my 93 year old Grandma, GG. We call her GG because when Amanda was teeny tiny and just learning how to talk it was too much to say great grandma so we shortened it to GG and that’s what all of the kids have called her.

Thanks for being Santa every year, dad. It’s a FUN tradition we look forward to each year.
