My aunt, my mom’s sister, came for a visit a few days after Christmas. They treated us to a soup buffet one day. Notice the towel clothespinned to her shirt? In this case would you call it an apron or a towel?
Here she’s cutting up the green onions for the soup.
You might wonder where my aunt came up with the above “towel apron.” Look below and you’ll see. What I’m not sure of is whether or not this tradition of using a towel as an apron was passed down from my grandma or relatives before her. I do know that I don’t use any sort of apron nor do my girls… not yet anyway (LOL).
My mom doesn’t like her picture taken so when she noticed that I had taken the above one this was her reaction. It’s a cute picture so I’m going to go ahead and post it.
I keep telling her she should just smile and it would make things easier…
