Homeschool Co-op

This spring our homeschool co-op brought in Missoula Children’s Theater to put on a theater week for the kids in our co-op. It’s always an awesome experience. I’ve played in over a dozen now and never tire of it. This year Emily was cast as one of the main characters – Beauty – one of the evil step sisters. Josh was cast as one of the Lords. Here are the Smilebox pages I created to remember this year’s MCT play!

Josh and Em

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingThis page tells about Josh getting all dressed up in the costume, having his makeup applied, etc. He was too tired to take his makeup off that night and he didn’t think much about it the next morning until he went to the store and the cashier gave him quite a teasing!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Emily’s character sported quite an attitude which she played well. She did an AMAZING job. We had no idea she was such an actor!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting The Waltz! I’m not sure if Josh would have agreed to be in the play had he known he was going to be waltzing with a girl on a stage in front of hundreds of people (LOL). They did a great job.

This year one of the girls in our co-op played a few songs. She’s bottom right on this page. She learned quickly that accompanying isn’t just about being able to play the music when the kids skipped ahead in the script and we had to scramble to figure out where they were at!! Also on the page below is a picture of my mom giving flowers to Em. She brings flowers for our kids after each performance! Thanks Grandma!

Our co-op is already signed up for a play next spring and we just found out it’ll be Snow White! If you ever get a chance to participate in one of their plays or organize a group to bring them to your town, I highly recommend it! They are AWESOME!

All your new layouts look great. You ladies doing the digiscrapping thing sure are pumping out the layouts.

Super job!

That sounds like a lot of fun. It’s so good to have pictures of these sorts of events, isn’t it?

My kids went to a wonderful Shakespeare workshop last week and I didn’t get any pictures!

All of your smilebox pages are just wonderful!! I really like the ones with a series of pictures. It saves having to choose just one or two pictures, and is a great layout for a blog.
Thanks for sharing the activities of your talented and beautiful bunch!!

These girls are the best :).  We all had a great time wedding dress shopping with Maddy!   Em noted that she’s 2 for 2 now as she picked the chosen dress for both Amanda and Maddy!  Next on the dress shopping list is to find bridesmaids’ dresses for the …

GILGAMESH TRILOGY

The last time we studied the Ancients (4 years ago), I borrowed this Gilgamesh Trilogy from someone.  As I was preparing our materials for this year, I remembered that I had planned to purchase this set for our own library the next time we study the Ancients. This summer I …
