I’ll have to repost this picture from a few entries back since I don’t really have any other pics of me right now.I’m not really sure what all I’ve done, but here are a few things that come to mind at the moment.*chauffering kids around here and there. The boys had VBS all week last week which meant a trip to town EVERY morning. I was able to do a bunch of errands, schedule some meetings and appointments, etc., while they were occupied at VBS.*One afternoon we stayed in town to swim at the lake with some friends.*One afternoon we stayed in town to swim at a friend’s house.*One afternoon I went shopping with Amanda who was looking for a new bedroom set. read about that in the update about her*Researching what lens I should purchase for shooting indoor basketball pics. I think I finally found one that is somewhat affordable. Wish I would have figured that out BEFORE all this weekend’s bb games.*Co-op stuff… schedules, calendars, upcoming trip out of town, day at the water slide, meetings, budgets, ordering curriculum and books, etc.*Getting ready for our own school year – BIG PILES of books and stuff all over our library. I was literally getting boxed in with walls of stuff all around my desk. I’m working on knocking down some of these piles today inbetween blogging.*dr apts with Amanda for the last couple of months. She will start on Accutane Monday. WHEW. It’s been a LONG road to get to this point. Negotiating discounts on some of her bills, searching for prescription scholarship programs through the some pharmaceutical companies, (totally worth the time since she’ll get almost all of her very expensive Accutane prescriptions paid for).*helping Tim research home remedies for gout. 4 trips to the ER and 1 trip to the internist and he is STILL having trouble. He’s now eating canned unsweetened tart pie cherries and drinking concentrated cherry juice from the health food store.*one late night trip to the ER with Josh because of allergy/breathing problems. Another visit to our ER dr friend, but at a decent hour. Now that the cotton is gone, he’s doing much better.*teaching Nathan how to swim after an unsuccessful 4 weeks of swim lessons at the Y. The instructor was pleasant enough and I don’t have any complaints about the class. It’s just that I’d rather push him and be done with lessons instead of dragging them out forever. Now he’s swimming underwater and jumping off the diving board and swimming to the edge without any life jackets. YEA!*Chauffering Emily around to/from her job when she can’t get a ride with someone.*Taking Josh to basketball practice a couple of times a week.*The boys had a sleepover with some of their friends – yep.. even Nathan had a little friend over. BOY did their soom smell like BOY! They stayed up past midnight drinking pop, eating popcorn and chips, and watching movies in the boys’ bedroom. Did I mention it smelled in there?? 5 boys in a not so big bedroom after playing basketball and shooting off fireworks and no one had a bath!*scrapbooking when I have a few spare minutes. Digi when I’m in town with nothing to do and have my laptop and traditional when I’m at home and am not too tired or have some sort of inspiration.*shopped for a new washer/dryer and freezer. We ditched our old freezer earlier this summer. It was 25 years old when we bought it at a garage sale and we’ve had it about 23 years. It was time! We’ve had our washer and dryer for 23 years as well. We are giving our old set to Amanda since it’s still going strong and shows no sign of wearing out any time soon unlike the new ones we bought which say they probably won’t last more than 8 years.. UGH! I keep thinking we should just keep our old ones.. I would probably never have to buy another set, but these front loading ones will be NICE! Hardly any water going into our septic tank, very little detergent, and 1/2 as many loads as I do now to stay caught up with laundry. I do 3 loads a DAY right now. I will still have to do 3 loads (whites, darks, work clothes), but at least I won’t have to do them every day anymore.*new washer/dryer will now require a remodel of the utility/laundry room. We had thought we might remodel the kitchen, but we’re going to use that $$ for an inground pool, instead. So, we’ll remodel the utility room this year.. much less expensive than doing the kitchen. We’ll use the same linoleum from the bathroom so it won’t take much time to decide anything (LOL)! The only thing I have to figure out is if we want to put in a cabinet system of some sort instead of the pantry/closet type thing we have which is really hard to navigate.*while shopping around I found a new mirror for the living room and now I need a pedestal to put it on since it can’t hang on the wall due to light switches and heater thermostats being there. I’ve been eyeing this mirror for over a month at Hobby Lobby… waited until they were 50% off and got one of the last couple they had this weekend and also bought a new (BIG art type) clock to replace the clock in the living room… also 50% off. I found a corner hutch to replace the one in the living room which is part of the set that goes in Tim’s office and it needs to go in there. I spotted it about 3 weeks ago, but I’ve been patiently waiting for a coupon.. 40% is as good as it’s probably going to get so I printed that today and will get it next week.*gardening in my flower beds. Planted about 25 new things this year. I still have to go back through and put drippers on the new things. Drove all around town looking at trees to see what kind we wanted to plant in our back yard. Decided on a Linden after calling my friend, Kim, to ask what kind of tree was in from of DQ and the bank on the east end of town (LOL). Can you BELIEVE that she knew exactly what tree I was talking about? I don’t know how she remembers all that stuff! I’m sure she knows every tree, bush, and shrub in town!*reading books, blogs, and anything else I find about photography and my particular camera after signing up for a class that would have proved to be a waste of time and $$ had it not been for it motivating me to be even more determined to try to get some decent pics with our new camera. You already KNOW how slow I am to do anything that has much of a learning curve. I just don’t have time for anything that takes much time (LOL). We’ve had that camera since LAST NOV and I’m just now beginning to use it…. sad…Ok.. that’s probably a long enough list…. I’ve been BUSY, but what else is new? I’ll include this meme just to prove that I CAN answer things simply once in awhile. This meme’s only instruction is that you can only use ONE WORD to answer the question. I saw it on Dorothy’s blog.
