Even though we had attended the same church for years, I don’t think I actually met Jackson’s mom until the year we started making plans to start a co-op and that’s when the boys became acquainted. Now that I ponder this a bit, I bet it’s possible that we might have even attended the same church when we were both pregnant with these little guys. Kim, if you’re reading this we’ll have to compare notes (LOL).
Anyway, back to what I was saying about the boys friendship. One of the many reasons we’re thankful for co-op is the opportunity it provides for our kids to have intentionally scheduled opportunities to “do life” (a quote used often around our church in regard to relationships) and school together. Through the years, we’ve tried to arrange playdates, field trips, and other activities in an effort to make attempts at getting the kids together with friends even though we live so far out from town. But, it was often very difficult due to conflicting schedules, distances, etc. Co-op makes that much easier for us since we meet regularly every Monday throughout the school year.

I’m sure it’s nice to have a friend to sit on the bench with while taking a break from the game to get a drink. Cheering their team on from the sidelines, I’m sure.
LOL! I don’t know what Nathan is doing with his hand clear up in the air. But he is quite excited about something and Jackson is attentively listening. What a good friend!
Even though our fall was crazy busy with three kids in sports, I have to say that I’m a bit sad the season is over. Nathan asked Jackson if he was going to play basketball this winter! Planning ahead already (LOL).
This is the end of their soccer season, but basketball is just around the corner. I hope they have many years of playing together on the same sports teams!
