Awhile ago, we bought a few acres of land adjacent to the land our house sits on. Eventually, we plan to build a shop out back and move our equipment from our land across the road to the new land back behind our house. The new land purchase has created some extra work for Tim and the boys this fall.
First they had to put up a new fence which you can see below.

Then they put in a new irrigation pipe so they could widen our driveway. The driveway needed to be wider so they can get in and out more easily with the trucks. It was raining the other morning when they were out working on the pipe project.
Josh scooped up some dirt from a few higher areas of the land to cover up the pipe.
They also had to move our mailbox. I hope I don’t come home in a daze sometime and forget that now we turn AFTER the mailbox and not BEFORE the mailbox (LOL)…. or I’ll be running into the ditch. I don’t always pay attention to details such as that and this mailbox has been in the same spot since I was in 2nd grade so it’ll take some adjusting.

Tater was watching all of this activity from inside the house since it was cold and dreary outside. He sat on the couch watching out the big front window.

It’s so nice that Josh is able to get this type of experience while under the very watchful eye of his dad and grandpa. You know the saying about boys’ toys. They still like to play in the dirt it’s just that now the toys are bigger! (LOL).

They sure did get a lot of work done this past weekend! Good job, boys.
