OUTDOOR LIGHTS

Holiday

One day last week, Josh and Nathan went outside to start putting up the reindeer and Christmas trees. They were able to get them out and hook them up all by themselves. YEA! GO BOYS!

A few days later Tim and Josh added a little more scenery to our normal decorations. It was quite a project. First they had to move some dirt. Imagine that? Boys wanting to move dirt? So, they used the loader to haul in a big dirt pile which they then did something with the dozer and left it parked like it was ready to “take off.”

Tim bought some special lights when he was in town just for this project (LOL). So, they had to untangle those lights and make sure they worked.

They added a reindeer….

Hmmm… then they took a break to look at something out across the field. My guess would be they probably saw a real deer or something. Photobucket
Josh strung an extension cord across our driveway from the house.

Plugged the lights in. YEA! They work with only a little tweaking.

The lights on the dozer tracks are those racing type lights which make it look like the tracks on the dozer are moving.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingI overheard Josh telling Tim that he guessed they wouldn’t be able to do any dozer work now until after Christmas is over (LOL)! I guess that’s one way to schedule yourself a vacation – use the equipment in a Christmas light display!

Oohhh… I LOVE it! So..I have to ask – did Tim turn his hat because he knew you were taking photos or does he generally wear it like that?? 😉

Great job, men! I love it.

There is a local man that always puts lights on an old power shovel he has in his yard…it is such a interesting change from all the normal stuff!

Debbie,
It is definitely a little different than normal. The lights on the tracks don’t show up very well though so I think they need more lights!

Oh I LOVE this!! We saw a tractor decorated like this last night. I think it’s so cool when it looks like the wheels are moving. lol. But I’ve never seen a bulldozer done this way.

And I’ve asked my boys to turn their shirts inside out so I didn’t have to get rid of the writing. 🙂

Most people who enter our church’s car show probably spend the day before polishing and clean up their entries.  Not us!  Nope.  We don’t have a fancy car.  In fact, our rig isn’t even entirely painted.  So, there was no need for polishing and prettying it up!  No, indeed.  Tim …
