I decided to add a note about our Christmas stockings which you can see in the picture in the blog entry below. If you want to read the history of our stockings you can read my entry from last year by clicking on STOCKINGS ARE HUNG.
I bought 3 new cross stitch stocking kits last year and plan to start on one of them this year. I only work on them during the winter. Other than the first one I made, they’ve all taken me a year or more to finish. So, I decided I better start now working on any I might need in the future for kids’ spouses or any grandchildren that may come along.

That’s a good idea, Cynthia. I bought several kits last year or the year before after I first saw your stockings. I haven’t done the first thing on a single one. Well, the kids all have stockings that I did actually make (sew), but they’re definitely more simple than the cross-stitch ones and don’t have their names on them. I guess the fact that the actually have them anyway means there’s no urgency to actually make different ones! 🙂
I used to love to cross-stitch but it’s too hard now even with my bifocals. Maybe after I get a new prescription (sometime over the holidays) I’ll be able to do it once again.
I love the way you’re thinking ahead… LOL
I love your stockings! I don’t think I would have the stick-to-it-tivenes right now. Maybe someday!
