WEATHER WINDOW

“Oh the weather outside is frightful….” That’s the story of our weather these days. It’s been about 3 weeks now that we’ve been below zero. We’ve had snow off and on for the better part of those 3 weeks and now it’s snowing AGAIN! It was coming down quite hard this afternoon. Tonight Tim went to town to finish up some shopping with Amanda while the rest of the kids and I stay home by the fire…. the boys are watching a Christmas movie, Em is doing some things on her computer, I’ve been blogging and cleaning basically not doing too much of anything since I seem to have come down with a bug of some sort.

Josh and I did venture out to our little town at supper time to get a couple of pizzas. We’ve been eating soup for 3 days now and we were getting pretty tired of it! The road conditions reminded me of the song Let it Snow… oh the weather outside is frightful. You can say that again. Our roads were a mess. Here are a couple of pictures Josh took coming up our hill. Days like this make me glad we have 4 wheel drive if we need it!

PhotobucketThe roads were already snow packed and icy before the blowing and drifting started today.

We got our first big storm this past weekend – 14 inches here. Blah! And we’ve had a few really cold days but it is winter after all. ::sigh:: LOL

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

EARLY MORNING VIEW

I love that the days are getting longer!   There was a beautiful view of the moon early this morning which reminded me of this song by Steven Curtis Chapman.   …”Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee…   Holy. Holy, holy…”
