How exciting! I feel the same way about our addition. I'm praying it actually happens before there's no longer a need. Praying for next year. This year hubby needs to cut the rest of the lumber.

This summer will mark our 20th year in our home. WOW. I have no idea where 20 years went, but I do know the time has finally come to do something about the backside of our house. We’ve talked about remodeling/adding onto the kitchen for YEARS, but every year anothe year comes and goes (amazing how that happens) and every year we would put off this project for another year. If we put it off much longer 1/2 the kids will be gone and we might not have need of a bigger kitchen (LOL).
Ready. Or. Not. (mostly not). Here. We. Go.
This is the back side of our house which we are extending 10 feet. This will give us a nice big back entry way which will be more like most people’s front entry way. We’re kind of backwards in that way.
This is the side of the house which is also being extended another 10 feet to lengthen the kitchen and the new utility room/pantry.
Fortunately, Tim & Josh were able to dig this hole before the ground froze! We had early snow/cold weather, but it seemed to have insulated the ground because it wasn’t frozen! YEA!
Just what Nathan LOVES! Another big pile of dirt to play in/on.
One of our friends came over with his bobcat to jackhammer the sidewalk into pieces.
After the cement was broken into moveable chunks, they used the bobcat to haul it to the driveway where it was dumped into the telehandler.
After the telehandler was full then Josh hauled the debris over to the pit.
Our backyard is quite a mess at the moment!
