Our co-op put on another MCT play this spring.  This year’s play was Sleeping Beauty in which Nathan was an “angry caterpillar.”  He’s not in the photo below, but I wanted to post a picture of Sleeping Beauty, the King and Queen, and other supporting cast members.

I didn’t take very many pictures this year and now I realize how that happened.  Normally, I play the piano for the MCT (I think I’ve played for 12 or 15 now) productions and I’ll get a chance to take a lot of photos during the rehearsals.  This year, however, I decided to take a break from playing and therefore ended up with many fewer pictures.  Here are a handful of the ones I took:

Here’s Nathan thinking contemplatively about something while waiting for his makeup:

Here’s one of our friends who was the head Troll:

and makeup for the Evil Scarella… a couple of the co-op moms were assigned makeup duty:

I thought the makeup for the Sleeping Beauty’s dog was particularly good!

And, here’s another caterpillar – one of Nathan’s friends whom you’ve probably seen on the blog before:

Here’s another picture of the Troll… We laughed hysterically at his actions!

Here’s Nathan practicing a few of his facial expressions:  First, happy caterpillar….

then angry caterpillar:

At the end of the play, Nathan looked a little worried since he didn’t know where we were sitting….

and then he spotted us!

I can’t wait until next year’s play!  They are always SO CUTE!  We’ve been participating in these plays for about 16 years now.

SUCH cute pictures! I agree with De'Etta–I just noticed Josh's new pic in your sidebar, and I never would have recognized him. How can they all be this grown up????!!

LITTLE BITES OF HAPPINESS

Nathan’s friend, Noah, came over to hang out today and enjoy one last day of Christmas break before school resumes for both of them tomorrow. On the way home from picking him up at “the bridge,” I asked if the boys wanted some oatmeal for breakfast, but no. They wanted …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
