RAIN AND CARHARTS!
Josh is checking out the weather and discussing it with his grandpa.

Josh has been wanting a carhart work outfit for a couple of years, but I never think about it until later in the winter season when I can’t find any in his size. We were in town 2 days before it started to rain and Josh found this set. Coat and bibs although you can’t see the bibs in this picture. He’s talking to grandpa on the phone and they are discussing the weather. Josh has already put the plow on our 4 wheeler because he wanted to get that done BEFORE it might snow and then be too miserable to work outside. He’s offering to put grandpa’s plow on his 4-wheeler as well. We haven’t gotten any snow yet, but we have PLENTY OF RAIN! It’s rained off an on for 24 hours now! YIPPPEE! We haven’t seen puddles like this since our last spring rain months ago. We have one big “lake” where there is a low spot in our driveway.

The rest are just nice sized puddles! There is rain running down our gutters and coming out at our little rock path we made in the flower beds this summer. I LOVE snuggling up to read a book in this kind of weather, but there’s no time for that today maybe tomorrow.

We still can’t see the mountains, but this time it’s because of the rain clouds and rain instead of ash. And the air smells SO GOOD!

I love these photos. I’m praying now that our next assignment is to a place with SEASONS. I loved having four seasons (even when they were short) in MT.

TX is gorgeous in the winter but it really is sun, sun, sun….I like variety.

Loved the photo of Josh.

Glad you got some much needed rain! Josh looks like such the little man ready for anything and taking charge!!

Yes. The rain has been VERY NICE! It has rained off and on for over a week now. Everything is nice and green again and I haven’t had to water my flower beds this entire time. Now I’m ready for it to warm up again for a nice Indian Summer, fall.

SUPER MOON

The Super Moon was shining so bright throughout the night last night. This morning the western sky was a beautiful rainbow of colors as the moon was disappearing over the horizon.

LET IT SNOW

Being in the road building business, one thing we don’t have to worry about is being snowed in. As long as the weather isn’t so cold that we can’t start the equipment, you’ll find our men out and about plowing everyone’s driveways up and down our road and a few …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …
