CONSTITUTION STUDY:

Emily enjoyed reading these three little books to Nathan. They are such CUTE little books. These are stories about the three branches of government told by mice.

We read the White House mouse book last year before we went to the White House while in DC last year. It was fun to read it again this year.

I’m not sure how this happened, but I ended up with all three of my books being autographed!

Here are three more books that we read. We REALLY enjoyed the center one and the one on the left. The one on the right is more of a workbook and I’m thinking about having the kids make their own little pocket constitution book…. we’ll see… as I mentioned before, our curriculum moves along at a pretty face pace. We’ll cycle through this time period again four years from now… maybe then we’ll do all the things we didn’t have time to do this time around.

This picture is SO CUTE – I couldn’t resist putting it on my blog. It’s a friend of ours from co-op and the little constitution trees this class made were SO CUTE! Some of you might enjoy making them! The leaves will be attached to the tree and will tell things about each branch of government.

Here Josh is working on his tree which is a simpler one for the middle grammar kids.

NATHAN
