CHRISTMAS MORNING

Holiday

CChristmas Morning! We never set a time on when the kids can or can’t wake us up, but Josh decided that they should let us sleep in until at least 6:00 and then in the morning after he woke up he decided to wait until 6:30! YIPPEE! We were SO TIRED. Nathan wasn’t even up yet and we had to wake him. It took awhile for him to wake up completely and really enjoy the excitement. Here are the kids all coming downstairs.

The stockings are all arranged on the floor.

After we opened our stockings – we started on the packages. We always open the packages one at a time and we all vote on which one the next person should open. It makes the process last a LONG time! Nathan is smelling Tim’s new cologne….

and then he showed him right where he wants it to apply it…..

Emily and her new bag which she isn’t sure what she’s going to do with it…. it’s for all of her bead stuff which she hasn’t opened yet.

Josh is trying to convince us of something (LOL). Tim with his new hunting back pack “system.” It’s an actual “system” with all kinds of bells and whistles. I think we managed to surprise him. It’s not something you can purchase locally and he didn’t know I was really paying attention one time when he was talking about it and I pretended to be too busy to pay attention.

Nathan trying on his new bike helmet… but he couldn’t wait for it to be out of the plastic box/wrap it’s in so it looks REALLY big on him.

Nathan looking through his new CARS view finder… again… he couldn’t wait to get the plastic wrap off.
Nathan showing off his new pjs.

Nathan didn’t wait for scissors or a knife… he just ripped right into the boxes and tore them open…. what STRONG muscles he has….

Emily with more packages…. this is her main one – a docking station and speakers for her iPod.

With this big smile you would think this was her main present… it wasn’t, but she sure did LOVE IT!

This is a belt that we found on ebay. It has a guitar head as the buckle and the belt, itself, is a guitar fretboard replica. It’s SO CUTE! The story behind this is that she saw one she LOVED when we were in Seattle, but we really didn’t have time to go shop around for one. So, Emily and I searched the internet and found this on ebay.

Most people who enter our church’s car show probably spend the day before polishing and clean up their entries.  Not us!  Nope.  We don’t have a fancy car.  In fact, our rig isn’t even entirely painted.  So, there was no need for polishing and prettying it up!  No, indeed.  Tim …

The kids were SO excited to see a package come in the mail this week from our foreign exchange student, Michaela, who lives in Germany!  She sent something for everyone and they had fun digging through the box to see what was theirs. She included a chocolate spoon for everyone …
