COUNTING PENNIES – Dec 31, 2006

OOur annual counting of the pennies! The kids like to go through all of our change and see how much it adds up to each year. They always hope there’s enough to go do something fun! I’m not sure why they decided to use Emily’s jewelry making organizer for this task, but they did. Here are some of the pennies.

They had to double check this batch for dates because I knew that some old pennies had probably been accidentally put in this container…. They found some from the 60’s and thought they were REALLY OLD! I reminded them that Tim and I were BORN in the 60’s (LOL)… quick backtracking on the “old” comments… lol…

Nathan joined in countining in Spanish which is one of his favorite things to do these days.

We’ll take the coins to the bank and see how much $$ they found. It’ll be used toward our vacation!
