This is my piano. Passed down from my grandma. Frist to my aunt. Then, to my mom. Finally, to me. My mom and aunt both learned to play on this piano, as did my brother and I. Now, three of our kids have learned to play piano on it and our fourth will start soon. I’ve considered that it would be nice to have a newer piano and maybe even a grand of some sort, but I could *never* get rid of this piano. It’s well used and loved as you can see by the chipped middle “C” key.

I guess I consider piano playing a “hobby” now that I don’t give piano lessons anymore except to our own kids and a family friend’s kids. Piano playing in the traditional sense is now something I do for enjoyment in my spare time.
