2005 YEAR IN REVIEW
APRIL, MAY, JUNE

Missoula Children’s Theater: Emily and Josh both had parts in the Pinnochio play which was performed in April.

PROM:Amanda was invited to go to the prom with one of her friends from youth group. She had a LOT of fun shopping for the dress, getting her hair put into an “updo” and getting ready!
COLORADO: We went with some other homeschoolers on a field trip to Colorado in May. Amanda didn’t get to go with us since she has a job and neither did Tim since he was also working. It was just the younger three and I. Here are the kids at the Fireman’s Museum in Denver:

HIKING at Glen Eyre. After touring the Glen Eyre castle, we had lunch and then took a hike to these waterfalls. The other moms helped pack Nathan up and back or else we wouldn’t have attempted this hike without Tim. Manitou Cliff Dwellings: We participated in some group activities making clay pots, listening to a video, pounding corn, and touring the dwellings.
FUNNY FACES:
I’m not sure what I’m doing or thinking here, but it must have been something goofy.

Josh is saying “Oops, I think I put too much in!”

Nathan is saying “WHO ME?”
YES! As in YES I think Grandpa will take me out to play with the trains!
Nathan isn’t making a “funny” face, but he is pretty handsome sitting on the countertop helping me with the dishes. Here Nathan is pointing out “mine ouchey” where he fell over and landed on one of his trucks.GO CART RACING:Tim helped with the Go Cart racing outreach at church. Our business sponsored one of the cars and Josh was one of the kids who was able to race a car in the program. HOMESCHOOL CONVENTION: I helped organize the MT Statewide homeschool convention this year. It was a LOT of work, but it was fun to work with all the committees and moms who helped out. Here Amanda is making some phone calls to set up the schedule for the Children’s Program workers. BIRTHDAYS:Amanda turns 16 and Nathan is by the road anxiously waiting for her to get home. She had to work the entire day and we didn’t say much about her b-day when she left. We had “Sweet 16” flowers delivered to her at work and the boquet included sugar cubes which was VERY CUTE. Then, we had our normal dinner with the grandparents and I could tell she was a bit bummed about nothing “special.” Little did she know that outside her friends were hiding around the corner of the house to surprise her. She WAS surprised. We ordered a special cake that she had been talking about for a very long time. At the end of the night we shot off fireworks. I don’t have many pictures since our flash wasn’t working, but it was a very fun night for her!Josh turns 8Nathan turns 2

Great pictures. Who is the one coming down the fire pole?

I loved the pictures of the Manitou Dwellings…we are “close” to that now – we’ll need to go visit.

LITTLE BITES OF HAPPINESS

Nathan’s friend, Noah, came over to hang out today and enjoy one last day of Christmas break before school resumes for both of them tomorrow. On the way home from picking him up at “the bridge,” I asked if the boys wanted some oatmeal for breakfast, but no. They wanted …

COON “HUNTIN”

Early this morning our dog went crazy with barking and howling.  After the sun rose, we found out what all the commotion had been about as he pointed us toward a coon he had treed during the night! Mid morning the boys decided they needed to take care of the …

DUCK PREP

I’m not sure what’s going on with these duck feathers on my dining room table, but the placemat has been moved over to make room for them! And the Egg Nog has been pushed aside to make room for marinating the duck meat!!    I’m not much for animals, dead …
