This picture doesn’t go with these two stories, but they’re all cute so I’m posting them together. Today some friends of ours watched Nathan while Tim, Amanda, and I were were busy practicing and getting ready for the weekend worship services. This was one of those rare occasions when none of the other kids were able to watch him either with Josh not feeling well and Emily having a babysitting job.
So, our friends who were watching Nathan took him somewhere with them on Saturday (can’t say where or that will be too telling – lol) evening where he fell asleep as I predicted ahead of time he would and warned them about his tendency to do that at certain places (hint hint). He told the couple who were watching him that “this guy could put coffee to sleep.” OUCH!
The next morning Nathan was back in the green room at our church where the worship team was having breakfast between services. One of the guys, “JF”came in to have some breakfast and said it was really “hot.” So, when I came in Nathan told me someone thought it was hot and I explained that he probably meant the temperature was hot and not that it was spicy hot. JF was sitting beside me at the table and he replied to Nathan saying, “your mother knows how I feel about her cooking.” To which Nathan replied, “It’s a good thing my dad isn’t in here right now to hear that.” (LOL)! It was HILARIOUS!
Oh. My. Word. I don’t know how he comes up with these things, but I can see there’s a lot more work to do in the area of teaching him social graces!
