I have to post this picture for the sake of recording a memory.  When I’m tending the fire, I like to wait until it has burned down enough to allow me to juggle the puzzle pieces (wood) around until I can fit in as many as possible!
It might take me awhile to get them all in there just right, but it’s worth the effort because the fire will burn for a really long time afterwards.  After I took this picture, I moved the bottom pieces around a little more so the one piece that is 2nd from the left rested flat on the bottom which allowed me to put one more piece in at the top.  However, I did have to go searching in the wood box for just the right sized piece.  I found one, but the whole process probably took a good 5-10 minutes.
Is it really worth the extra time to have a fire burn 30 minutes longer?  I don’t know.  But, now you know another one of my always-trying-to-be-efficient quirks.

Isn't that a hoot! That is so funny that you arrange them just so. I love it! That is something I could see myself doing! I love a nice fire burning. I wish we had a fireplace or a wood burning stove! Maybe one day.
