You’re probably thinking this is another how to blog entry for one of the many yummy recipes we like to make here in our home, right?
WRONG!
This is a HOW NOT TO MAKE recipe krispies post! Poor Em (LOL)….. normally she’s a GREAT cook! She was just having a few problems this particular night. Normally we use large marshmellow and this time she used a package of miniatures.

Little did she know that the little ones “puff up faster than the big ones do.” (LOL)! So.. she had a HUGE mess in the microwave… we missed getting a picture of it all puffed up and way above the top of this microwave bowl.

The marshmellows were all down the front of the microwave and on the door.

We were able to use what was left in the bowl and add what we thought would be the right amount of rice krispies now that we were short so many marshmellows (LOL).

But… it wasn’t quite “right” (LOL). Oh well.. they still tasted really good, but the only way to eat them was right then and there and with your fingers.

The boys didn’t seem to mind a bit (LOL)!

That’s ok Emily! We still love you and THANKS to years of reality discipline she got right to work cleaning up the mess! We sure wouldn’t want that sitting for very long because it’s not like you can just stick the microwave in a sink of hot sudsy water and let it soak overnight (LOL).

We always use mini’s too and like Kristine we make them on the stove. Those sound so good . . .I think we will make some too!

LOL! DeEtta, don’t you think she’s TOO YOUNG to be joining the club just yet >VBG>!

I wonder why you guys make them on the stove instead of the microwave? Probably because you avoid this type of mess?
