These cheese biscuits are very similar to the ones served at Red Lobster!  YUM YUM!  I don’t know where I found the oroginal which I’ve since changed several times over the years.  Here’s my version:

CHEESE BISCUITS:

2 cups bisquick
2/3 cup whole milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Mix bisquick and milk.  Add cheese.  Bake at 450 until golden brown on top (10 minutes?)

GARLIC SPREAD:

1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp dried parsley (I crush these to a pretty fine texture)

Mix together and spread over hot biscuits. 
Addendum:  I double or triple all the seasonings except the salt which I don’t use at all

Ooh, I love Red Lobster's biscuits, and years ago, I tried a copycat recipe. But that recipe obviously forgot the garlic topping. These look soooooo good!!!!!!!

I'd bookmarked these and decided to make them last night when we had company for dinner. Everyone loved them! (I was a little baffled and had to look at other recipes–I didn't know if they were drop biscuits, or rolled/cut, but I obviously figured it out!) Even Robert commented again several hours later after everyone left. Thanks!
